We had our first meeting on sunday, and it was a very nice opportunity to talk to other members.
I was a little nervous before I arrived at Wesley Center, but everyone was really kind so I was relieved.
I just started reading a book , which was recommended during the meeting. The title is "desert flower" and is written by waris dirie. If their is any other book that you think it might be helpful during the seminar, please let me know.

ReplyDeleteThanks Mai for your comment. Two more books on violence towards women in the Muslim world are : Infidel and Nomad both written by Ayaan Hirisi Ali. They are definitely a slanted position from her experience. Matter-of-fact I am surprised that she hasn't been assassinated because of her very strong opposition to Muslin beliefs.
